Regular inspections of your shake roof are vital for its longevity. Addressing issues like cracked, curling, or missing shakes promptly can help prevent significant damage and ensure lasting protection.
Roof Lifespan Exceeding 20-30 Years
Shake roofs generally last between 20-30 years. If your roof is approaching this age, it may be time for an upgrade to maintain its effectiveness and appearance.
Weather-Related Damage
Severe weather, including storms and high winds, can cause damage such as cracked or missing shakes. Address these issues quickly to maintain the roof’s durability and protect your home.
Aesthetic and Property Value Concerns
Visible signs of aging, such as discoloration or rot, can affect your home’s curb appeal and decrease its market value. An upgrade can enhance both the look and value of your property.
Worn or damaged shakes can compromise your roof’s natural beauty and structural integrity. Upgrading your shake roof enhances its rustic charm and ensures long-term protection for your home.
